Wow. We could spend all this money on creating these dire wolves instead of saving our own increasingly endangered planet. We could spend our money and save our tigers, but we’d rather bring back a species that has gone extinct for a reason.

Colossal Biosciences might indeed have a noble goal, but it’s a misguided one. What is reviving a dodo, a mammoth, and a thylacine going to do? Are we set to create dinosaur-themed parks again using this biotechnology? I find it absolutely ridiculous that we should spend billions on species that went extinct because natural selection intended them to.

On top of that, we have a current crisis in America and around the world. Because Donald Trump and his “MAGA” movement have absolutely no belief in climate change and habitat protections, he’s ripping up the EPA and regulations for his oil buddies and rich friends to use.

Rather, here’s a more practical solution. Let’s use this technology to reverse the effects of some of the most crucial species on Earth. Species like otters and sea lions, or lions and rhinos, are all suffering from human-driven damage.

But that might not even work. They could die anyway because they have no parents to train them. Humans, you say? Absolutely not. Even more ironic is the fact that they could die from the same species that created them, too.

We need to focus on conservation efforts – the hope that we can bring some species back can cause governments to loosen regulations. So, I’m urging you to donate and to volunteer to protect all species on Earth while we still can.
